"I want to actually bring attention to something that I had forgotten for many, many years," he says. "The idea that I didn't fit that I wasn't the way a boy should be had been demonstrated for me in a million different ways." He recalls being called faggot and terrified by other kids at his school when puberty hit. The actor is now working on an HBO series about his experiences as a gay man.
