An acoustic spot light can be made with ultra sound. The normal range of human hearing is about 20 herts to 20 thousands herts. Anything above 20 thousand herts is considered ultra sound. I think that if drones start being a more everyday part of our lives, that there will be a pretty strong pressure to make those drones be a little bit less annoying to listen to.
