The Importance of Sally Hemings

Jefferson had constitutional scruples over whether we had to amend the Constitution in order to acquire this piece of property. And everybody told him it's like real estate in a hot market. You have to leap on it right then and there. But he always insisted that it should be ratified after the fact with a constitutional amendment. He's fair to say, by the way, isn't it? Nobody in the end was more significant in creating the United States.
