My dad in his 50s and semi-retired from a successful career in insurance had taken on my Grandad's 1982 Ford Sierra to use as a run around. During his errand running, he noticed an issue with a gearbox. He was not able to get it into reverse for several months. Not wanting the hassle of selling, decides to take it to a local scrapyard. And after a quick handshake and 100 pounds changing hands, the Sierra was gone.
