Marshall detests jefferson for all the reasons that he did writes a massive five-volume biography of george washington in which he belittles jefferson's contributions to the american revolution. John adams hated it too and said it was a five-volume mausoleum so that so that marshall helps to create the historiography of the washington administration and the federalist party. He spends the rest of his life trying to find somebody who will write a counter history thought of doing it himself but he didn't but here marshall wins again uh by writing this extraordinary co-mium book about general washington.
