The Pronunciation of the Ukrainian Capital
Some reporters pronounce it Kyiv, whilst many of your Ukrainian guests seem to give the vowel sound a little wobble and say something halfway between Kyiv and Kiev. Larsen Dunfermlin in Scotland wants to know the correct pronunciation of the Ukrainian capital,. He says he's been puzzled about it since the start of the Russian invasion last year.
