The Akron's Internal Hanger
On May 3rd, the Akron took flight down the East Coast to Georgia and then cutting West to California. A stop at Camp Kearney in San Diego County was a tricky undertaking because they had not brought in a dirigible like the Akron before. Four of the men who were holding lines to the ship didn't let go and one of them fell from a height of 15 feet - breaking his arm.
