Nathan: We are cut off from any kind of true intimate, healthy interaction with our leaders because they refuse to engage in dialogue. And I think it comes from a place of their own fear, which is sort of the penal substitution theory of atonement - we're afraid that if we make a mistake, we make God angry. Nathan: Their stance makes it very, very challenging for us to try to heal in connection with them because they don't want the dialogue.
