Lafayette's Life
Lafayette was very nearly captured during the battle of barron hill. He takes a musket ball through the leg, you know, that could have gone through his heart if it had been two and a half feet higher. When he goes back to france for the first time after his initial tour in the united states, his ship almost sinks in a storm. And then just a few weeks later, there's a mutiny on board that ship. So all these things, like, at almost every moment of our lives, even our lives, not just historical figures, is just like we managed to live through them.
