The business of selling is still in its cradle clothes, he calls it. And I still believe that to be true. But here is my retelling of the history of sales through 1920 as told by Wesley Stagger. He says man had begun to place values to mean that human beings figured out what value a produced item could hold than what it could be traded for. So there was hunters and agriculturalists and shepherds and fishermen all producing what others needed which essentially gave rise to commerce.
