The Negative Trend in Male Work Rates

With the exception of Italy, why is it that so many other countries seem to be doing better on this metric than the United States is? What are we doing wrong, do you think? Well, I think those are excellent questions that you've posed. As you noted, this is a very long-term problem, it's a historical problem now. We're in this negative trend of declining work rates for five-aged men for over half a century and two generations. It just keeps on falling and falling and falling.
