I Feel Empathy for Mary Tudor
I kind of feel sorry for Mary. Do you feel the same kind of empathy toward her legacy? I do. She's gotten a bad shake as far as her legacy has come down because with her father is Henry VIII and her sister is Elizabeth I, those reigns taking up almost the entire century. And I really wanted to show that there was an area in which the two sisters could be directly compared. Their translations, their literary activity prior to them both getting the throne and how similar they are. Or in that Mary did the same things that Elizabeth did, but she never really gets credit for that.
