The human soleus is larger than the gastronemius. In other animals, the four-legged kind, if you look at, for example, the lab rat, the gastrons are 10 times bigger and even in primates they're a little bit bigger. We didn't know when we began this that human work, whether that was big enough. But what we learned first through our animal work and then later in humans was that if we can activate the soleus intensely enough it could double people's metabolic rate.
