The Power of Tragic Comedy
In the past, when a presidential candidate would say things that shocked white people, there was not as much of a shock for friends and family of color. There wasn't outright blatant racism but it seems the shock element is more in line with how white people respond. For many women, life had been always a matter of appearances and then maybe there would be something very vile that might happen to you. But I'm just much more interested in like, in tragedy than comedy.
