The Economics of the Soviet Union
The USSR was a feudal, agricultural economy that Stalin took into something that could actually defeat the Germans at World War II. There's only so much steel and concrete you can manufacture to make more steel and factories. The share of investment, the USR GDP was kind of, it was not that high, but even then they were throwing out investment way more than the US.
