Esther: Even like 20, 30 years ago, delirium was just thought to be some transient condition. Now we know better and there's a really bad long-term outcomes that are associated with delirium. We think that delirium occurs one older adult every five minutes in the U.S. She says it could range from just kind of some dreamlike state to in some cases, especially this has been true where COVID-19 has been described as a delirium factory.
