Bitcoin Mining Energy Excise Tax Nixed From the Bill
The bill called for a 10% tax on the electricity used by Bitcoin miners, beginning in 2024 with that figured jumping to 30% by 2026. So that's not happening. That would have been a de facto ban on on Bitcoin mining in America. It was just would have been black market miners only.
