Leonardo Da Vinci and Leonardo's Science

Da Vinci did a lot of his work in isolation and he was very secretive about his findings. He basically tried to keep all of his findings only known to himself as much as possible. And one reason was that his scientific knowledge was also a basis for his engineering. So these master engineers like Brunelleschi who built the cathedral, the dome of the cathedral in Florence they kept their engineering secrets and didn't communicate them with others. Leonardo transferred that also to his science.
