The Importance of Knowing the Training Data
Knowing the training data is incredibly important in terms of understanding what kind of applications you might expect it to do well or do badly. So certainly you're going to have biases in the training data you could have. And these could be obvious things like it could be you know sexist biases, racial biases that you really would not want to have in a lot of applications. If you're automatically trying to use these systems to process applicants materials or automate interviews this kind of application I think is very dangerous if it's not properly tested for these potential problems.
