Tanks in World War One

The idea of the tank goes back to at least leonardo de vinci in his drawings armored cars. Tank was just a word that they thought the germans wouldn't know what they meant when they did it. The british tried to get really fancy in whirlwar to they had battle tanks, cruiser tanks. But more or less, inwhirlwar too, tanks led the way and soldiers followed.
