Jesus sets himself up as an authority to teach and it's independent in addition to the Torah. Where did Jesus get this authority? It's going to cause huge conflicts. What we call Christianity began his life as a Jewish messianic renewal movement. The question came up like, if I'm not Jewish, what is my relationship to the Torah?
