The first republic was an excuse for authoritarian rule in that era. And whether it was er firmly believed in or not, it was not really a cohesive ideology. They were regarded as being primary agents of economic development under dom,. Right? So during the colonial period, right? M, i feel like its puly quite dominant one, that it was very much a sort of ar aot. I mean, that was sort of my, as i said, possibly poorly informed perspective, but i feellike its pulyquite dominant one.
