The curse came with at least some allegations of dark powers, isn't that right? Yatherr, there were allegations that they were sorcerers. It was believed that they could bewitch cattle which sounds a little more fun than it probably should to me. You'll also hear stuff about being able to poison wells,. They're talking about the cattle falling ill, or perhaps miscarrying during birth, and stuff like that.
