I Still Loved It
I found it a very timely and very moving film. In part because all of the downsides of Aaron Sorkin's immense talent, I think are redeemed when you have these two time periods in play. So those would be the 60s when politics and political theater and the youth movement and the Vietnam War all came together on TV. And then secondly now, when something like the public theater of protest is again urgently at the center of American life. But to revisit that moment brought what is bracing about his talents back to the surface.
