The Cost of WebAssembly

WebAssembly has its own memory addressing space, and it can't escape that address space. So if you want it to know about any data, you have to copy your data into that space. In terms of like files, as you said before, WebAssembly doesn't really have any kind of concept of file systems or anything. But there is a standard that's emerging called Wazi, it's a generic system interface.
