Michael Denning is a professor in the American Study program at Yale University. His books include Noise Uprising, the audio politics of a world musical revolution. He talks about culture in the age of three worlds and the laboring of American culture in the 20th century. I'll also post a new after-view essay that Denning wrote on Gramsci in the show notes.
