The Importance of Blackfoot Pronunciation

My name in blackfoot is awful guy or white bear and that was given to me by a foreign society elder back in 2012. He prayed about it and he said, you know, this is the name for you was the name of my uncle and I'm going to pass it on to you. So I got my blackfoot name and I could be referred to either as my English name or by my blackfootname in that context. It's not like they are freely giving outsiders blackfoot names.
