Introduction

Mark Carpelli is the founder of Mount Gox. He joined the crypto committee back in 2010 when there were only a few hundred people actually doing crypto stuff. In early 2011 he was approached by Jed Mckeleb to take over mongox and run it as an independent company. The exchange has now been shut down after going into receivership last month.
