phil, i would just want to affirm chrisanne for her instinct to want to take issue outside of just the american church context and ask, what do our global sisters and brothers do with this? Yes, ye, that's a great instinct, and right on target. What's really fascinating though is when you look at the southern global south church, whether it's latin America, africa, asia, they tend to be way more progressive than the american white evangelical church. But on the issues of gender and sexuality, they're far, far more consectionive then the American church or australian or the u k.
