The American Heart Association recommend that folks consume about one gram per day of EPA and DHA from eating the fish. They do not recommend omega-3 supplements for people who are not at high risk for atherosclerotic disease. So if you're otherwise healthy, your dietary patterns on point and you don't have any need to lower your triglycerides as evidenced by the fact that you're not on existing medications,. we know do a much better job at lowering triglycerides anyway.
