If we have cut ourselves off, oh, it's okay to feel pleasant, but not okay to feel unpleasant, how are we going to be living our lives extremely defensively? We're just like an open window. The mindfulness just creates that open space in which all phenomena arise - sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant. So this is possible. We can actually experience this and this is perhaps the most important message. It's a practice. And you each may find your own particular practice that resonates with you,. But it doesn't just happen by itself.
