Neil Inness' Oasis

Most of these Oasis hits were found on the band's debut album Definitely Maybe, which was an out-of-the-box smash in Britain. Was forced to add to its songwriting credits the name Neil Inness, whose satirical 1973 song, How Sweet to Be an Idiot, was an obvious antecedent to whatever. By the way, Neil Inness is perhaps best known for playing a faux John Lennon in the TV Beatles parody band The Ruddles so even some of Oasis' Beatles' illusions were second hand.
