How to Structure a Film

The film does kind of start out as a comedy and it goes as a comedy for a while. Then there's a big tonal shift when the film turns a little darker. I would say how long can you walk back and forth before you actually have the two of them having their first like conversation why does this man not want to talk? That was a section that we really work a lot of because somehow you can't have too much time passing which then you disengage your audience. It's more about let's try and be as simple as possible and tell this natural story and always go with our main character except when you bring in the other one.
