It felt like there's something, the very techniques and the institutional arrangements that often hinders those efforts. And what struck me most perhaps was the fact that the available narratives often pay little attention to this contraption. So yeah, I felt that we needed new narratives to challenge this dominant viewpoints ... The book covers episodes from very different contexts and periods.
