The Restoration of Ama Gudo's Status as a Priest
In 19 93, the soto sect of zan buddhism restored uchiyama gudos status as a priest. The dynamite found in his temple had been placed there for safe keeping by a railroad company laying track through the hakune mountains and had nothing to do with him. So his sect actually claimed later that Uchiyama was innocent,. But at a minimum, it shows uchama's enduring popularity as a figure of dissent and of moral clarity. Right?
