In this longer episode (our way of saying a quick sorry for not uploading last week đ„ș) we're taking some time to reflect on our experiences with our inner critic.
But first we want to understand all about what actually is the âinner criticâ. We'll be exploring the philosophy and history behind this phenomenon, as well as the neurophysiology that underpins our self-critical nature đ§ . We share examples of inner critic voices, how it affects us, and its links to various difficulties such as depression and anxiety.We also touch on the reasons why our inner critic should not be trusted ( it is not a true moral guide) and how it is usually formed as a response to environmental conditioningâŠ
