Lights Out
The Death of a 19-Year-Old at Action Park
In 1980, a 19 year old named George Larson Jr. decided right down the slide. With no brakes, a slick track and no sunlight, he lost control of his cart and it jumped the track. He went airborne and when he crashed into the ground, his friends literally heard the audible sound of his skull cracking as it landed directly on a rock. After spending several days in a coma, George eventually died. Between two years alone, this slide was the direct result of 14-bone snapping and 26 broken bones.
