The Wisdom of Mass Tree Plantings as a Way to Combat Global Warming

A recent issue of the New Yorker magazine questions the wisdom of mass tree plantings as a way to combat global warming. A single tree will store, I think it's a ton of CO2 over their 40 year lifetime. Forests fed us and made our way of life possible, but they can't save us if we can't save them.
