The Jewish Worldview in the First Century

Gospel was that Christ died for us so that we can live forever But the question is how did Jews view living forever in the first century? And that view of the universe in God is apocalyptic It involves a sudden and radical appearance of God with fire and angels. This will happen when Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction away from the presence of the Lord  when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints.
