In 1897 Alexander Malcomson offered Jim Cousins the job of managing the coal company office. A year later he was earning $100 a month and scrupously saving enough to have accumulated his $400 hoard when his boss got together with Henry Ford. And then as we'll see later Cousins $400 including a crewing stock working at the company, he cash out for over $30 million. So the amount of wealth that the Ford Motor Company generates is just staggering.
