Are You Using Up Your Engines?
Formula One is trying to portray the greenest possible image. Having as many engines as you want doesn't look particular, so optics are aren't great. If those are the reasons that you have these rules, then you need to have incentives for teamd or engine manufacturers to produce engines that are more on the side of reliable - even if that means sacrificing performance. So a suggestion from me, and this has its own flaws, but just something i would rather do than the current system, is qualify as normal, but with a certain number of seconds added to each pit stop based on the component that you've had to change.
