Why Systemic Integration Matters Now

The ILC study group concluded its report by expressing the view that no homogenous hierarchical meta system is realistically available to do away with such problems. The principle of systemic integration provides a legal reasoning technique addressed to the problem of relative normativity. That's to say the means to address and reconcile conflicts of norms found in different parts of an international legal system which is largely flat in its relations between rules. These issues as Rumi has kindly mentioned are the subject of my current research for a book to be published next year. And today with the research itself largely complete and about four-fifths of the manuscript written, I've got a chapter and a half to go.
