The Story of Captain Cook's Third Voyage
My maiden name is Cook, and I think my father decided that nobody was doing anything to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Cook's voyages around the world. So he decided to fix up a boat himself and set sail on the anniversary of the third voyage. He'd never really crossed the notion before. My mother didn't really like sailing. She got quite badly seasick. But my father managed to raise quite a lot of sponsorship,. including, as you say, from Trust House's 40 for this reenactment. And they set sail on the children's anniversary as my younger brother and me on board.
