Neil Gaiman is deliberately kind of subverting at least what we take as the Disney version of the story, because in his short story at Snowglass and apples, he's telling the story from the Queen's perspective. But to your point, Victor, it's not told in first person in the grim version. It's much more than one. Neil Gaiman just makes no white into a freaking monster.
