The Status of Biometrics in TSA Regulations

TSA's 49 USC 114 is the main statuaries document providing legal authorities for TSA. That one absolutely has language that requires us to explore the use of biometrics to prevent passengers from getting on board a plane. As far as identity document at a checkpoint, I don't know that the statute specifically says that, but I know that are promulgated regulations that I think would lead, you know, lead to that requirement.
