When i was in primary and i learnt grammar, we learned how to analyze a sentence. I now do the kind of teaching of a sentence analysis that i learnt when i was ten years old. And it comes as a great revelation to 18 year olds, 20 year olds,. The idea of analyzing how each word functions in the sentence. If you look at a lot of good sentences, you can work out how to create them yourself.
