Melvourne: Workhouses were physically built on the edges of towns, not right in the middle of them people. It was a real and a suggest i difference or distance and othering of the poor to the rest of society. There's a lot of this idea that you can just build a building ao put it and sounds rightthat you put it in the right place. And for much of the nmustof stuff i've been looking at, in terms of letters and disputes and all these sorts of things, it's quite clear that in the midlands and the north a everything that is ose to happen,. i mean, it really doesn't happen.
