How to Buy a Rental Property by the Age of 40
Rick Steves bought his first home 12 years ago. He says he overdo houses and fixes them up as if he will live in them at any time. His realtor has helped him sell 10 rental properties so far, including a house that was gutted on the market.
Most people buy rental properties on purpose, but most people aren’t Rick Morin. Rick is what we would call an “accidental investor.” He has been able to build a home-run housing portfolio by slowly, steadily investing whenever he had the chance. The best part? And while he’s nothing short of an investing genius, his process for evaluating and doing deals is NOT complex.
