"There are lots of half truths out there and as somebody said to me years ago I forget it was if you take a half truth and make it into the whole truth it becomes an untruth okay," she says. "So many people actually put off the gospel some of them having tried to believe it for many years and then finally they just say no that sounds like a bullying God If there is a God he can't really be like that" 'I didn't write this book because of those abuses I wrote' she writes in her new book, which will be published by Simon & Schuster next month.
