Introduction

Malcolm Harris is the author of Paolo Alto, a history of California capitalism in the world. He grew up there from age 8 to 18 and says he didn't want to write about his childhood because it was "a defining phenomenon" His book on Paolo Alto looks at the project of Silicon Valley through that lens.
